Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British composer and singer. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. The son of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born February 1, 1994, in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where together with his three classmates He formed his own group, White Eskimo. Their excellent performances helped them beat in the Battle of Bands 2009. Even though he's always expressed an interest in the world of music, despite his passion for it, he wished to become a lawyer and an physiotherapist. As a worker at the city's baker Harry Styles could afford to provide for his family. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010, and performed Is not She Lovely, an iconic Stevie Wonder song. He got selected. That's why his group split. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the band to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The group's creation began in 2010 and the five young people were funded by Simon Cowell. They performed tracks like My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the contenders for the award. The band was in the third position behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle, who took home the prize. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell didn't take home the prize. However Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
